The project is aiming to contribute to Turkey’s integration efforts by increasing awareness on the “Block Exemption Regulation” that is set for the automotive original equipment supply sector by the EU and prepare the way for the competition in this sector. As the exemption rule will increase competition and effect servicing and repairs, the target groups of the project are the employees/representatives of independent services, repairers and the distributors. With these conditions, the consumers will have more choice and better value for money, the final beneficiaries will be the final consumers. Specific objectives of the project are; - Raising awareness among 600 employees/representatives of the independent services, repairers and distributors in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir on the Block Exemption Rule by educating them about the EU Competition Policy, Block Exemption System and Spare Parts of Matching Quality. - The promotion of exchange of know-how and best practices between EU states (in particular France, Germany) and Turkey in relation to before and after the implementation process of Block Exemption Rule by the study visit and a comparative research study. - To increase the technical capacities, know-how and lobbying skills of the all the parties that will be affected from the project by the panel. - To create a constructive platform for strengthening the current partnerships and for the possible cooperation opportunities with other related organization by the networking meetings.
